Biography:

Celebrity Chefs Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger are the Food Network’s dynamic duo, Too Hot Tamales.  These ladies have been leaders in world cuisine since the 1980’s when they created the City Café and CITY Restaurant in Los Angeles. However, the Too Hot Tamales are best known for, as their nickname might hint, authentic Mexican cuisine. Over the past two decades, Mary Sue and Susan have set the standard for gourmet Mexican eats with their widely popular, and critically acclaimed, Border Grill restaurants.  The co-chef/owners serve up some of the tastiest Mexican food in the country at their restaurants in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, Santa Monica, and Los Angeles.  The pair’s most recent endeavor has been launching their Border Grill Truck, which takes gourmet tacos, quesadillas, ceviches, and more, on the road allowing diners to enjoy some of Too Hot Tamales’ specialties from the comfort of their home. In addition to their thriving chain of restaurants, Mary Sue and Susan have become famed television personalities.  Their Food Network show Too Hot Tamales has been on the air since 1995. The too hot tamales became so popular from the show that fans nominated them to be the next White House Chefs.  In addition to their own show, the two have been featured on Bravo’s Top Chef Masters, and have authored five cookbooks including Cooking with Too Hot Tamales, Mesa Mexicana, and City Cuisine.  Outside of the kitchen, or la cocina, Too Hot Tamales are active members of the community. They work with many charities including Share Our Strength and the Scleroderma Research Foundation. They are also advocates for preserving and protecting the environment putting eco-friendly policies into play at all their businesses and serving only sustainable seafood as part of the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch program.
