BIO: Sandra Lee is most well known for her “semi-homemade” cooking—70% prepackaged products with 30% fresh products. In the early 1990’s Sandra created the “Sandra lee Kraft Kurtains,” a tool that used a wire rack and sheets or other fabric samples to create decorative curtains. The tool kit was sold on infomercials and various cable shopping networks. QVC eventually hired her as on-air talent, and in her first 18 months, Sandra Lee sold $20 million worth of products.
The Food Network premiered Semi-Homemade Cooking with Sandra Lee in 2003. On the show, she incorporated an arts and crafts element, where she decorates the table settings, or as she calls them “tablescapes.” Sandra’s second Food Network series, Sandra’s Money Saving Meals, aired in 2009. Sandra Lee; the author, has released 23 books and is editor-in-chief of her magazine based on the show, Sandra Lee Semi-Homemade. She also has a show on HGTV, Sandra Lee Celebrates, a series of holiday specials. She has made a mere perfect transition from books to television, radio and internet, and has proven to be an international success. Her Food Network TV series, Semi-Homemade Cooking with Sandra Lee, was one of the highest rated shows launching in the network’s history. In 2008, the series celebrated its 200th episode. A year later, Food Network launched a second series called, Money Saving Meals, guaranteeing viewers an average of 39%-50% savings on every grocery bill.
