Jack Mancuso

@chefcuso

Jack Mancuso began his cooking career during college when he started grilling for his house full of roommates. He self-taught himself how to cook through the internet, googling recipes and watching other people grill. Needless to say, his college friends couldn’t have been happier.
From then on out, his cooking expertise only grew. As his reputation in the kitchen grew, he moved to social media, immediately feeling the impact of his newfound skills, drawing immense exposure, so much that it resulted in him working with top musicians and athletes from the MLB, MMA and NFL all around the country, thirsting for his grilling advice. His accounts have grown exponentially since he started, now amassing over 1 million followers and 16 million likes on his flagship platform TikTok.
When he’s not cooking, Jack often travels, and whether he’s snowboarding in the Swiss Alps to swimming on the island of Sicily, Jack credits some of his cooking expertise to his eclectic experiences. When he’s not firing up his grill, he’s working full-time as Sales Mech Engineer for a top commercial HVAC firm on the west coast. Jack also has two dogs, a Mastiff and a Cane Corso/German Shepard, who are sometimes featured in his videos.

Susan Spicer

A leading woman in the culinary industry, Susan Spicer is a renaissance woman when it comes to cooking. Spicer began her career in 1970 under the guidance of Chef Daniel Bonnot at Louis XVI Restaurant, and later worked at the Hotel Sofitel in Paris with Chef Roland Durand. After spending four months in Paris, she moved back to New Orleans and opened her restaurant Savior Faire in the St. Charles Hotel. She expanded her business in 1986 when she debuted the Bistro at Maison de Ville in the Hotel Maison de Ville. After meeting Regina Keever four years later, she and Keever opened their internationally known restaurant Bayona in the French Quarter. Bayona experienced immediate success and was inducted into the Nation’s Restaurant News Fine Dining Hall of Fame in 1988, in addition to receiving an Ivy Award and being featured as one of New Orleans’s top five restaurants.

An entrepreneur, Spice continued to expand her business and opened up a specialty food market called Spice, Inc. that ran from 1997 to 1999. It provided a wide range of services such as take-out food, cooking classes, and an artisan bakery. With so much success, the market soon developed into Wild Flour Breads, which Spicer currently owns with Sandy Whann. In 2001, Spicer joined forces with The Kimpton Group to open Cobalt, just a year after debuting her restaurant Herbsaint with three other partners. After her Top Chef appearance in 2009, Spicer opened up a restaurant called Mondo in 2010 in the Lakeview neighborhood of New Orleans, where she has lived for 20 years.

In addition to the restaurant business, she also published a cookbook in 2007 entitled Crescent City Cooking: Unforgettable Recipes from Susan Spicer’s New Orleans, which went on to be nominated for Best American Cookbook by the International Association of Culinary Professionals. It was also awarded Best New Cookbook by New Orleans Magazine, and was included in the Best of the Best in a list of the top 25 cookbooks of the year.

With so many successful undertakings, it is no surprise that Spicer received the James Beard Award in 1993, as well as the Mondavi Culinary Excellence Award in 1995. She was also inducted into the James Beard Foundation’s Who’s Who of Food and Beverage in America. Her famous restaurant Bayona continues to make headlines, being inducted into the Culinary Hall of Fame in 2012. More than just a celebrity chef speaker, she also works closely with humanitarian efforts such as Share Our Strength’s annual Taste of the Nation, as well as the hunger-relief fundraiser Taste of the NFL.

Tiffany Derry

32-year-old Tiffany Derry came into culinary fame after being chosen as the fan favorite during the seventh season of Bravo’s reality kitchen television show, Top Chef: Washington D.C. Her supporters appreciated Tiffany’s charming confidence in the kitchen. The judges loved her Texan and Creole cuisine, too.

Tiffany got her start in the culinary world by working her way up to an IHOP management position at the young age of 17. This experience and participation in American Culinary Federation competitions aided Tiffany in attending the Art Institute of Houston, where she earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Culinary Arts.

Upon graduating, Tiffany accepted an executive sous chef position at Grotto Cucina. Tiffany then decided to return to the Art Institute of Houston to teach, passing on the culinary knowledge the institute had given her.

When the eighth season, Top Chef: All-Stars, rolled around, Tiffany was invited to return as a cheftestant. She finished in fourth place after Antonio Lofaso, Mike Isabella, and winner, Richard Blais. Tiffany went on to become the executive chef of the esteemed Go Fish Ocean Club in Dallas.

After opening Private/Social with Patrick Helbert of the Halstin Group, Tiffany ventured further into the culinary business. Tiffany then opened another company of her own, Tiffany Derry Concepts. TDC handles Tiffany’s culinary and business ventures. She has appeared on Spike TV’s “Hungry Investors” and “Bar Rescue.”

In the summer of 2014, Tiffany accepted an offer to participate in the upcoming celebrity chef cruise line, Top Chef at Sea. The Celebrity Reflection sets sail for the Eastern Caribbean on the fifteenth of November with Tiffany and her fellow cheftestants, Shirley Chung, Casey Thompson, and Hosea Rosenberg, on board.

Chris Shepherd

Wine guy turned Houston chef Chris Shepherd has honed his culinary skills and is beginning to receive more and more recognition. Previously mentioned in The Wall Street Journal, Saveur Magazine, and Food Arts Magazine, Chef Chris was awarded a spot on the Best New Chef list by Food & Wine Magazine for 2013. He received this award alongside multiple talented chefs including Jose Enrique of Puerto Rico, Michael Voltaggio from season six of Top Chef, and Minister Chinese Food’s Danny Bowien.

Chef Chris spent nine years at Brennan’s of Houston working alongside his friend Chef Randy Evans, author of the cookbook titled The Kitchen Table. While working at Brennan’s he also served as a sommelier as well as his executive sous-chef duties, further expanding his ideas on dining and what goes into the experience. After five years as Executive Chef with Catalan Food & Wine, he was able to secure his own place and start his own restaurant called Underbelly.

Underbelly is an eatery committed to bringing together all the culinary history of Houston. Chef Chris designed a kitchen with low counters so that his customers can see and talk to the chefs preparing their food for a richer experience. The cuisine at Underbelly embraces an American creole style cuisine with an Asian twang. Like Chef Jamie Malone in Minneapolis and Chef Matthew Gaudet, Chef Chris also tries to obtain his seafood through sustainable sources while raising herds and growing his own produce locally. Southern Living Magazine named Underbelly one of its best new restaurants of the south and Chef Chris Shepherd continues to bring pride to the Houston community through his cuisine.

BIO: Celebrity Chef John Besh is a chef and native of southern Louisiana. In each of his six restaurants (August, Besh Steak, Luke, La Provence, American Sector, and Domenica) John celebrates the culture and traditions of Louisiana.

The Times-Picayune and New Orleans City Business have commended all of his restaurants as they have all won the hearts of diners. In 2006, John Besh was awarded the James Beard Award for Best Chef of the Southeast, and Food Arts’ Silver Spoon Award in 2009. Not only is he a guest chef on the Today Show but also has appeared on The Food Network and the Sundance Channel.

John Besh is also devoted to using local ingredients and cuisine. He created a catering group called Besh Restaurant Group Catering, and has a new line of gourmet products. In October 2009, John published his first cookbook, My New Orleans. John, who is also a former U.S. Marine, partnered with Baton Rouge-based emergency reconstruction specialists Arkel International, where he creates fast, ready-to-eat meals for emergency response teams in the U.S. and around the world. In appreciation of his contributions, Louisiana Restaurant Association named him Restaurateur of the Year in 2008. John has been recently spotted at the Atlanta Food and Wine Festival where he served a shrimp bisque demo and tequila shots.

When BP’s oil started flowing in the Gulf of Mexico, John Besh spoke loudly for Louisiana fishing families and the threat to the delicate marshes that produce much of the region’s oysters, crabs and shrimp. Because of this, he endorsed Propane. “I don’t have anything against BP, I have something against the lack of leadership of all the companies and government involved,” and he went on to say, “I also use gasoline in my car when I am driving around,” he said. “I am not against the oil industry but I am all for people being responsible for their actions.”

John is available for speaking engagements, cooking demonstrations and corporate hospitality.
