Nadia Giosia

There’s a reason Nadia Giosia is called the “Julia Child of the Net generation,” and it has everything to do with her spunk, humor, and cooking skills. Celebrity Chef Speaker Nadia started off posting videos on Youtube and running a boutique web design and branding studio, but she decided to take it to the next level by adding in a key ingredient, and of course it was food. Concentrating on organic, fresh, and readily available ingredients with a pinch of her Italian heritage thrown in, Nadia’s initial Cooking Channel series, Bitchin’ Kitchen, which aired in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, followed by her latest show Bite This with Nadia G, has made this Italian girl into a cooking sensation. In 2009, she released her first cookbook, The Bitchin’ Kitchen Cookbook: Rock Your Kitchen and Let the Boys Clean Up the Mess, which went on to become a bestseller.

Nadia is no amateur to television; in 2011, she was featured on an episode of Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern. The following year, she competed with Michael Symon on Iron Chef America, going up against famed chefs Ted Allen, Masaharu Morimoto, and Robert Irvine in a special Holiday Gingerbread battle. In 2013, Nadia competed on Food Network’s wildly popular series Chopped All Stars in the show’s third season.

This hip, comedic, and fun loving chef likes to play up dishes, ranging from the classics and comforts to new combinations, with recipes like Tiramisu Cupcakes, Meatloaf with Awesome Sauce, Penne Algio-Olio-Anything, and Red-Hot Chili. Her philosophy in the kitchen, and in life, is to be a go-getter and just try for it, because eventually you will get the hang of it. One thing is for sure, and that is no matter what she is cooking up, Nadia is wildly entertaining and does it in style.

Keith McNally

London born Keith McNally, also known as “the restaurateur who invented downtown”, moved to the big apple in 1975 to pursue a career in the restaurant business. He began working in random jobs in various restaurants, as a busboy, oyster-shucker, waiter, maitre d’ and eventually became the manager at the restaurant One Fifth. While McNally was fired from most of these jobs, and deemed lazy by his employers, he gained the experience needed to survive one of the most competitive culinary cities in the world, and quickly became one of the top restaurateurs in New York City.  In 1980 he opened the Odeon, a trendy eatery in Tribeca that infuses classic American, French, and Italian dishes.  Odeon quickly became a favorite of the locals and tourists, and with this success, McNally began expanding his restaurant empire. He went on to open restaurants Café Luxembourg, Nell’s, Lucky Strike, and Pravda, a Russian caviar and vodka bar. The year 1997 brought McNally’s most successful, and famous, restaurant Balthazar. The French brasserie restaurant, located in SoHo, became known as the hottest reservation in the city and maintained this title for several years after opening. The restaurant went on to be featured in popular novels such as The Associate by John Grisham and Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin, and films Hitch, with Will Smith, and Woody Allen’s Hollywood Ending. The restaurant is also frequented with celebrities and is the site where comedian Jerry Seinfeld proposed to wife Jessica Sklar. In addition to the restaurant, Balthazar features a bakery, in which the orders and demand for the delicious French pastries became so high that McNally was forced to open a separate wholesale division of the bakery in New Jersey. After the uproar Balthazar’s created across the nation, McNally opened its sister restaurant Pastis, which again became the height of the New York social scene, as it hosted Sarah Jessica Parker’s baby shower, and Liv Tyler and Royston Langdon’s wedding. Most recently, Keith McNally has opened the restaurant Cherche Midi, which follows the French trend set by Balthazar and Pastis.

In addition to the restaurant business, celebrity chef Keith McNally wrote a cookbook entitled The Bathazar cookbook, which contains some of the most coveted recipes from his famed restaurant.  He has also written and directed two feature films. One entitled End of the Night, which is a black and white independent melodrama, and the other, Eat this New York, which details the New York City restaurant business and features celebrity chefs such as Daniel Boulud.

Louis DiBiccari

Louis DiBiccari is a young burgeoning chef and culinary artist whose burst his way onto the scene in Boston. Like many of the famous chefs of our time, Louis DiBiccari is a homegrown talent. Celebrity Chef Speaker Louis was first exposed to cooking from his Italian mother’s distinct recipes.  Louis began experimenting with cooking during his time at Fitchburg State University in his apartment, and eventually decided to follow his budding passion and enroll in culinary school in Scottsdale, Arizona.  Needing to gain professional experience in the kitchen, DiBiccari’s first position came in the kitchen of the famous chef Christopher Gross’s restaurant Christopher’s Bistro in Phoenix.

Louis decided to move back to Boston at this point, and pursue an internship opportunity with the Season’s restaurant.  This helped jumpstart his career and landed him a position with Geoff Gardner at the Sel de la Terre.  He would spend 12 years there establishing himself as a definite player in the industry.  In 2008 he was named chef de cuisine at the Back Bay restaurant and was given full reign over the kitchen.  DiBiccari earned several awards for his work at the Back Bay including “Rising Star Chefs” by StarChefs.com.  Louis has also started a concept known as “Chef Louie Nights;” where guests vote on themes and ingredients on his website and on the morning of the event Louie and other participating chefs must scramble around the city for supplies and prepare the dishes on the spot.

In 2013 Louis opened his own restaurant, Tavern Road, in Boston with his brother Michael DiBiccari.  The restaurant has been a success, and it offers a distinctive menu filled with upscale bar-food options.  In addition to the sit-down restaurant, Louis has introduced a street cart with the Tavern Road name that offers select menu options on the street.  Louis DiBiccari has also developed an initiative called Create: six artists, six chefs, one canvas.  The idea is that a local Boston chef is paired with a local Boston artist and the goal is to collaborate create a dish that reflects on the artistic abilities of both the chef and artist.  The goal is to draw the relationship between culinary and visual arts with a unique perspective from the city of Boston.
