Biography:

Seen by many as the king of pastries and desserts in the United States, Duff Goldman took his Baltimore charm and has built an empire. Many consider Duff Goldman to desserts what Chef Boy-R-Di is to canned Italian dinners: the standard setter. He is the executive chef and owner of Baltimore’s Charm City Cakes shop, which has lines for hours on the weekends, with fans and hungry visitors who can’t wait to taste his savory and sweet delights. A regular now on TV, he was originally hired/booked as a celebrity pastry chef for the blockbuster show, Ace of Cakes on Food Network.  This show brought millions of viewers into the kitchen to learn from some of the best on how to make creations from basic ingredients that people had never seen before.

A CIA graduate, Goldman was hired by the esteemed French Laundry restaurant owned by Celebrity Chef Thomas Keller in Napa Valley, then as a baker at Todd English’s Olives restaurant in Washington DC. A New York Times best-selling author with his book Ace of Cakes: Inside the World of Charm City Cakes by Harper/Collins, Duff Goldman provides a behind the scenes look at the baking industry and Charm City Cakes.  As a celebrity chef and competitor on Iron Chef America, Goldman lost to Iron Chef Michael Symon and competed on Food Network Challenge.
