BIO: Chef Sandy Tuason is the executive chef at Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows is most known for his relaxed and happy moral who loves working on the island because people are always smiling. Sandy began work on the island in 2009 after the Mauna Lani’s restaurant made a million-dollar “refreshment.” Once on the island, he became acquainted with the local farmers, met with the hotel staff, join forces on the menu with James Ortiaga, who is now the executive sous chef.
Before his move to Hawaii, he was at the Four Seasons Resort in Nevis, West Indies and earned his culinary experience in New York under Andrew D’Amico, Daniel Boulud and David Burke and finally to London cooking beside Michelin-starred French chefs.
