BIO: Jonathan Jerusalmy brought 16 years of experience to his role as executive chef at The St. Regis Atlanta, which included his time at The St. Regis Resort in Monarch Beach, California’s only five-star, five-diamond resort.

Before joining the St. Regis, Jonathan was the executive banquet chef and executive sous chef at the Lowes Miami Beach Hotel in Florida. He has also improved his gastronomic background while working at the Fleur de Lys in San Francisco and as executive chef at Figaro in St. Louis. Figaro was voted Best New Restaurant by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch within 6 months of opening. Jonathan Jerusalmy has completed several internships at Michelin-rated restaurants in France, where he studied under Master Chef France Paul Bocuse and Chef Gerard Boyer. Upon graduation from the Institute Technique des Metiers de L’Allimentation in Tournia, Belgium, he served as Chef de Partie at La Cote 108 in Berry au BAC, France. Shortly after, he joined the St. Louis Club in Missouri as Chef de Partie and Chef Tournant.

Jonathan is persistent on using seasonal ingredients and uses local farmers, ranchers, etc. who are dedicated to natural farming and organic methods. He is committed to using only the finest local and artisanal ingredients and serves on Christofle Silver and Vera Wang China. BIO: “I have always felt it is critical to be a miles ahead of the latest trends, offer a diverse, inspired and scrumptious menu combined with exquisite service” – Jeffrey Nimer. Growing up, he watched his grandfather serve some of the best comfort food in Miami at his local restaurant. His father was a seasoned sommelier and well-known importer/exporter of wine. As a third generation culinarian, he spent many childhood years relishing in his mothers Lebanese dishes. With his diverse knowledge and personal connection to food is natural.

Originally trained in classical French cuisine, Jeffrey Nimer quickly started working with many talented and renowned chefs such as, Douglas Rodriguez and Mark Miltello. George Marrone and Jeffrey partnered to open the Blue Door Restaurant at the Delano Hotel on South Beach and continued to work on fresh projects, and soon joined the opening of Red Fish in Matheson Hammock Park.

After briefly being at Christy’s in Coral Gables, Jeffrey Nimer was named restaurant chef of Doc Dammers at the Omi Colonnade Hotel in Coral Gables. He was the creator of the menu for the theme restaurant and became a member of the Confrerie de la Chaine des Rotisseurs Balliage de Miami Beach. Jeffrey’s final move in Florida came as the executive chef at Baleen Restaurant at Grove Isle Hotel and Resort in Coconut Grove. While here, he received many honors including Miami Metro Magazine Critic’s Choice Award as well as other notices from Wine Spectator’s Millennium Issue.

He moved west to take a position as chef for Lavande Restaurant at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel. In the same year, he was nominated for a James Beard Award for Best Hotel in 2000-2001. After his stint as a private chef, in 2005 he created Haute Chefs. Jeffrey Nimer is available for speaking engagements, hosting and cooking demonstrations.

BIO: Jacques Pépin’s was born in Bourg-en-Bresse. His first cooking experience was with his parents in their restaurant, Le Pelican. He began his first apprenticeship at the famous Grand Hotel de L’Europe in Bourg-en-Bresse at the age of thirteen. He also trained under Lucien Diat at the Plaza Athénée. Jacques was personal chef to three French heads of state, including Charles de Gaulle. He has cooked on many award-winning shows including National Public Television, Master Chef and is also a food columnist, cooking teacher, and author of nineteen cookbooks.

Celebrity Chef Jacques Pépin’s moved to the United States in 1959 and began work at New York’s historic Le Pavilion restaurant, then for ten years served as the director of research and new development for the Howard Johnson Company. Here, he learned about marketing, production, food chemistry and American food tastes. He earned an M.A. degree in 18th-century French literature in 1972 from Columbia University. After he received his degree, he focused his time on writing, which he wrote two revolutionary step-by-step books on French culinary technique; La Téchnique and La Méthode. These books earned him a place in the James Beard Foundation’s Cookbook Hall of Fame in 1996.

Jacques Pépin’s Kitchen: Encore with Claudine, is his most recent series and was named Best National TV Cooking Show at the James Beard Awards in May 1999. The first twenty-six-show season of this series, Jacques Pépin’s Kitchen: Cooking with Claudine was a James Beard Award winner in 1997. His other television shows that received a Beard Award were the Jacques Pépin’s Cooking Techniques and three successful seasons of Today’s Gourmet with Jacques Pépin. Jacques Pépin also did a series entitled Julia and Jacques Cooking at Home. It premiered on television in the fall of 1999 and earned a Daytime Emmy in 2001. Jacques Pépin: More Fast Food My Way is currently being broadcast on PBS’ Create Channel.

In 2008, he was a quest judge on Bravo’s season five hit show, Top Chef. Today, Jacques Pépin serves as Dean of Special Programs at the French Culinary Institute which is part of the International Culinary Center in New York City. He also teaches a cuisine and culture of France online class at Boston University. In 2010, Jacques was named honorary commodore of the Oceania Cruises fleet, and he serves as Executive Culinary Director.

BIO: Celebrity chef Gene Briggs has been a culinary mainstay in the Charlotte area for more than a decade. With over 25 years of experience, Chef Briggs has become a master of his craft. His restaurants Blue and Table are two of Charlotte’s most sought after restaurant reservations and have consistently been ranked as two of the city’s top eateries.

Chef Briggs got his start in the culinary industry in 1979, working in various restaurants located in upstate New York. Here, he honed and perfected his practice of using fresh ingredients to create a variety of dishes that sample cuisines from around the world. This philosophy of only using the freshest ingredients has defined and inspired Chef Briggs’ cooking throughout his career, something that is still evident at his restaurants today.

In 1991, Briggs moved to Charlotte to work at Prisms Restaurant. After getting his start in the Queen City, he spent time working at many of the city’s most well known restaurants. Finally, in 2003, Briggs opened up his own restaurant for the first time, Blue Restaurant & Bar. To no surprise, the establishment quickly gained a reputation as one of Charlotte’s best restaurants.

Serving up a variety of cuisines, Blue’s menu is inspired by Spanish, French, Sicilian, Italian, and Moroccan cuisines. Chef Briggs stays true to his philosophy of only using the freshest ingredients, as he purchases locally, farm grown ingredients. Additionally, Briggs as an advocate of developing a communal relationship between local farmers and his restaurants and uses Blue as a tasty vehicle to display the advantages of such a relationship.

Following the success of Blue Restaurant & Bar, Briggs opened Table Restaurant & Bar in 2006. Table also saw immediate success and firmly planted Briggs among Charlotte’s most sought after chefs. All in all, Chef Brigg’s restaurants have won the “Best in Hot Food” category at Taste of the Nation in 2000, 2004, 2006, and 2008, have been recognized by Zagat as one of “America’s Top Restaurants” and have earned numerous Open Table awards.
