BIO: Jacques Pépin’s was born in Bourg-en-Bresse. His first cooking experience was with his parents in their restaurant, Le Pelican. He began his first apprenticeship at the famous Grand Hotel de L’Europe in Bourg-en-Bresse at the age of thirteen. He also trained under Lucien Diat at the Plaza Athénée. Jacques was personal chef to three French heads of state, including Charles de Gaulle. He has cooked on many award-winning shows including National Public Television, Master Chef and is also a food columnist, cooking teacher, and author of nineteen cookbooks.

Celebrity Chef Jacques Pépin’s moved to the United States in 1959 and began work at New York’s historic Le Pavilion restaurant, then for ten years served as the director of research and new development for the Howard Johnson Company. Here, he learned about marketing, production, food chemistry and American food tastes. He earned an M.A. degree in 18th-century French literature in 1972 from Columbia University. After he received his degree, he focused his time on writing, which he wrote two revolutionary step-by-step books on French culinary technique; La Téchnique and La Méthode. These books earned him a place in the James Beard Foundation’s Cookbook Hall of Fame in 1996.

Jacques Pépin’s Kitchen: Encore with Claudine, is his most recent series and was named Best National TV Cooking Show at the James Beard Awards in May 1999. The first twenty-six-show season of this series, Jacques Pépin’s Kitchen: Cooking with Claudine was a James Beard Award winner in 1997. His other television shows that received a Beard Award were the Jacques Pépin’s Cooking Techniques and three successful seasons of Today’s Gourmet with Jacques Pépin. Jacques Pépin also did a series entitled Julia and Jacques Cooking at Home. It premiered on television in the fall of 1999 and earned a Daytime Emmy in 2001. Jacques Pépin: More Fast Food My Way is currently being broadcast on PBS’ Create Channel.

In 2008, he was a quest judge on Bravo’s season five hit show, Top Chef. Today, Jacques Pépin serves as Dean of Special Programs at the French Culinary Institute which is part of the International Culinary Center in New York City. He also teaches a cuisine and culture of France online class at Boston University. In 2010, Jacques was named honorary commodore of the Oceania Cruises fleet, and he serves as Executive Culinary Director.

Jacques endorses the No Hunger Campaign, which started in Spain and has since worked its way to the U.S. Jacques is available for public relation campaigns, cooking demonstrations and Mommy Blogger events.

BIO: Celebrity Chef Frank Bonannofound his passion for cooking at an early age. Growing up in a Sicilian family, Bonanno can vividly remember how the aromas of his grandmother’s cooking filled his New Jersey home. When recounting his childhood, he also tells of how he and his mother would try out Julia Child recipes on the family in hopes recreating her culinary magic.

After graduating from the University of Denver with a degree in finance, Frank Bonanno determined that Wall Street was not for him. He decided to pursue his love of cooking and obtained a second degree from the Culinary Institute in Hyde Park, NY. Not soon after, in 2001, Chef Bonanno returned to Denver to open up his first restaurant, Mizuna, and has not looked back since.

Chef Bonanno’s restaurants are regarded not only among the best restaurants in Denver, but in the entire United States. Zagat has recognized Bonanno restaurants Mizuna, Luca d’Italia, and Bones as part of their prestigious ranking of “America’s Top Restaurants.” Further exemplifying his culinary skill, Chef Frank Bonanno has opened three additional restaurants ranging in cuisine from French-casual, to American, to Asian.

Bonanno says he “is inspired by classic French techniques, but also by the simplicity of the type of food found in the best American restaurants.” Continuing with this them of simplicity in cooking, he believes in offering “clean flavors that enhance the freshest, finest ingredients.” Both of these statements perfectly sum up Bonanno’s cooking philosophy that the true “star” of his restaurants is the food.

Bonanno is an active blogger, social media participant and has appeared on multiple television networks. Most recently, he appeared at the Butte Wine & Food Festival held in July 20-24 in Denver, Colorado. BIO: Celebrity Chef Eli Kirshtein, a native of Atlanta, Gerogia, is one of the prominent, young chefs in the Atlanta culinary scene. Known for his appearance on Bravo’s hit TV show Top Chef, Kirshtein started his career in cooking at age 16, working under Chefs Kevin Rathbun and Richard Blais. Chef Kirshtein attended the prestigious Culinary Institute in Hyde Park, New York. While studying his craft, Kirshtein worked in high-profile kitchens including Le Bernardin, Alain Ducasse, Restaurant Daniel and Jean Georges. Throughout all of his studies and experiences, Chef Kirshtein has developed a philosophy of using the best ingredients and his own cooking technique. His favorite thing to cook is “anything with good friends and some heart put into it.”

Upon graduating from the Culinary Institute in Hyde Park, NY, Chef Eli Kirshtein returned to Atlanta to once again work with Richard Blais. This time, Kirshtein worked as Blais’ Sous Chef at One Midtown Kitchen. After two years, Chef Kirshtein left to work under Alberto Cabrera at Miami’s Karu & Y as Executive Sous Chef. More recently, in the fall of 2010, Kirshtein returned to Atlanta and is working on a new restaurant concept. He is appearing in demonstrations and workshops across the country. BIO:  After graduating from Villefranche-de-Rouergue, Cyril Lignac began work at the Arpeggio then continued his training under Pierre Herme at Korova, Alain Ducasse at Grande Cascade and with the Pourcel brothers at the Maison Blanche.

In 2004 he ran la Suite in Paris and the following year Cyril Lignac opened his own restaurant in Paris; le Quinzieme Cuisine Attitude.

Cyril Lignac has been featured on many cooking shows on the French TV channel M6: Yes chef!, Chef, the recipe,  Live in canteen and Get Chef’d. He is also a successful cookbook author: Chef Generation, Chef 80 Recettes,Gourmands and a book for children called, Cyril Lignac & Small Chefs.

In 2007 Cyril published a bi-weekly magazine called Cook by Cyril Lignac and in this same year lent his voice to the French version of Ratatouille. His latest venture is a 1908 Parisian bar, the Chardenous which is registered as a French Monument historique.

BIO:  The only two Michelin stars in Brooklyn were awarded to Chef Cesar Ramirez and his restaurant, Chef’s Table at Brooklyn Fare Kitchen. Located in downtown Brooklyn is far from Cesar’s culinary path of Manhattan where he was once the Chef de Cuisine at Bouley.

Chef’s Table is not your normal restaurant; Brooklyn Fare Kitchen was just remodeled to accommodate 18 guests instead of 12 and is part of a grocery store in Brooklyn. Cesar Ramirez has kept the concept simple, you eat in the kitchen—Cesar’s work space and only gets the very best ingredients.  Jean-Luc Naret was quoted in GrubStreet New York as naming Ramirez’s Table as one of the best three meals he has had in the world this year.

Cesar Ramirez prefers to be called a craftsman and knows his food speaks for itself. Cesar didn’t start in New York, he made his was from Mexico and began his restaurant experience in Chicago where he worked at Tru. In Chicago he met David Bouley and eventually became chef at Danube, David’s restaurant.
