Zakary is now the Executive Chef at 5 Ninth and Fatty Crab in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District. 5 Ninth’s menu consists of classic French, where Fatty Crab has a Southeast Asian menu showcasing his time spent traveling in Asia and cooking at Seri Melayu in Kuala Lumur as well as the Thai Kitchen of the Westin Hotel in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

BIO: Celebrity Chef Marcus Samuelsson is one of the most highly regarded chefs in New York City, and in the entire world. He is the chef and co-owner of the wildly popular Aquavit restaurant in New York City and C-House Restaurant in Chicago. Samuelsson is well known for his eclectic culinary style that combines flavors and techniques from Sweden, Africa and Japan, as well as his many TV appearances. Chef Samuelsson has appeared on Food Network as a judge for its hit TV show Chopped, competed on Iron Chef America, taped demos for the Today Show, and was the winner of Bravo’s critically acclaimed Top Chef Masters competition.

Marcus Samuelsson was originally born in Ethiopia, but grew up to foster parents in Sweden. He became interested in cooking because of his maternal grandmother in Sweden, and studied at the Culinary Institue in Gothenburg. He apprenticed in Switzerland and Austria, and came to the United States in 1991 to work as an apprentice at Aquavit. Once at Aquavit, Chef Samuelsson soon became the restaurant’s executive chef. Samuelsson was only 24 at the time of his promotion. Soon after, he received a three-star restaurant review form the New York Times. Chef Samuelsson’s career was just getting started and in 2003 he was named “Best Chef: New York City” by the James Bear Foundation, an extremely prestigious award.

In addition to his recognition and work as a restaurant chef, Samuelsson is a Visiting Professor of International Culinary Science at the Umeå University in Sweden. Celebrity Chef Carla Hall is a lively Celebrity Chef and TV personality who is a featured co-host on ABC’s The Chew with Clinton Kelly, Mario Batali, Daphne Oz and Michael Symon. She is also recognized from her appearances on the hit Bravo cooking competition series Top Chef where she cooked her way into the finals of season 5 and season 8. Since Top Chef, Carla continues to cook from the heart with a mix of Southern cooking traditions and classic French training. BIO:  Originally from Bristol, Chef Will Holland has always had a love for food. He started working at The Bristol Swallow hotel with Simon Hulstone, the Senior Sous Chef under Michael Kitts at age 14.  From that point forward he recalls wanting to be nothing but a chef.

Will went on to college and was introduced to Gary Jones who was the head chef at Homewood Park and was the recipient of a Michelin Star and four Rosettes. After college, Will Holland was offered a job at Homewood Park in the Michelin starred kitchen at just 18.

Will’s next job was at the Gravetye Manor then on to work with Alan Murchison at L’Ortolan. Within the first six months of L’Ortolan’s opening, Will was named head chef at only 25. The following year, it was time for Will to move onto something bigger. Alan Murchison bought a restaurant and made Will the executive chef. He makes sure that the quality and consistency of all the ingredients that enters La Becasse’s kitchen are up to par and when possible, uses local produce as long as the quality and consistency is there.

Will Holland was given a restaurant at 27 and received his first Michelin star at 29. Other restaurant allocates include 3 AA Rosettes, 2009 Best Fin Dining Restaurant, The Good Food Guide with 6 out of 10, Hardens UK Restaurant Guide and entering the top 100 restaurants in the UK at The National Restaurant Awards.  He continues to grow as a chef and he won’t stop till he reaches the top.
