BIO: Pastry chef and owner of Citizen Cake and co-owner of Orson, Elizabeth Falkner began her career as a chef at Café Claude. After Café Claude, she moved to Mesa with Chef Juilan Serrano. By 1994, Elizabeth was named head of the pastry division at Drew Nieporent’s Rubicon by Chef Traci Des Jardins.

Three years later, Elizabeth Falkner opened Citizen Cake in the South of Market district of San Francisco. In 2000, Elizabeth moved the restaurant to 399 Grove Street in Hayes Valley district. She has toured Japan and taught professional pastry courses and was a consultant on pasta for Barilla. Elizabeth Falkner has been a guest judge on Top Chef on Bravo, has appeared on Iron Chef America, Tyler’s Ultimate, $40 a Day, Sugar Rush, Best Of, Bay Café, Top Chef-Pastry and many others. Elizabeth Falkner has been awarded many awards including ‘Rising Star Chef’ by the San Francisco Chronicle, ‘Pastry Chef of the Year’ by San Francisco Magazine, ‘Golden Bowl’ for ‘Best Pastry Chef’ by Women Chefs and Restaurateurs, ‘Best Pastry Chef’ nomiee by the James Beard Foundation and many others. BIO:  After graduating from Villefranche-de-Rouergue, Cyril Lignac began work at the Arpeggio then continued his training under Pierre Herme at Korova, Alain Ducasse at Grande Cascade and with the Pourcel brothers at the Maison Blanche.

In 2004 he ran la Suite in Paris and the following year Cyril Lignac opened his own restaurant in Paris; le Quinzieme Cuisine Attitude.

Cyril Lignac has been featured on many cooking shows on the French TV channel M6: Yes chef!, Chef, the recipe,  Live in canteen and Get Chef’d. He is also a successful cookbook author: Chef Generation, Chef 80 Recettes,Gourmands and a book for children called, Cyril Lignac & Small Chefs.

In 2007 Cyril published a bi-weekly magazine called Cook by Cyril Lignac and in this same year lent his voice to the French version of Ratatouille. His latest venture is a 1908 Parisian bar, the Chardenous which is registered as a French Monument historique.

BIO:  The only two Michelin stars in Brooklyn were awarded to Chef Cesar Ramirez and his restaurant, Chef’s Table at Brooklyn Fare Kitchen. Located in downtown Brooklyn is far from Cesar’s culinary path of Manhattan where he was once the Chef de Cuisine at Bouley.

Chef’s Table is not your normal restaurant; Brooklyn Fare Kitchen was just remodeled to accommodate 18 guests instead of 12 and is part of a grocery store in Brooklyn. Cesar Ramirez has kept the concept simple, you eat in the kitchen—Cesar’s work space and only gets the very best ingredients.  Jean-Luc Naret was quoted in GrubStreet New York as naming Ramirez’s Table as one of the best three meals he has had in the world this year.

Cesar Ramirez prefers to be called a craftsman and knows his food speaks for itself. Cesar didn’t start in New York, he made his was from Mexico and began his restaurant experience in Chicago where he worked at Tru. In Chicago he met David Bouley and eventually became chef at Danube, David’s restaurant.

BIO:  Cathy Whims is on a quest to offer historically-based, authentic dishes with a sense of place and a passion for local produce. Cathy’s partner, David West and her opened Nostrana in 2005 and it quickly became awarded Best Restaurant of the Year. Nostrana features Italian menus in Southeast Portland and serves classic Italian dishes with seasonal dishes reflecting the personal relationship Cathy Whims has with the local farmers.

Her menu highlights the intensity of natural flavors that are cooked in the wood oven and wood fired grill. BIO: After graduating from the University of Rhode Island, Bruce Moffett worked for 6 years in Washington, DC for US Senator John Chafee along with numerous trade organizations.

In Charlotte, North Carolina, Bruce opened a Pizza restaurant without realizing the difficulty of owning a restaurant. Eventually, Bruce sold the restaurant and enrolled in the Culinary Institute of America where in 1993, he graduated with honors.

Four years later, Bruce Moffett moved to Boston, MA and began work at L’Espalier for two years and then moved to one of Boston’s most famous restaurants, Metropolis Café and ultimately became executive chef. In the neighborhood of Fox Croft East in South Park, Bruce opened Barrington’s Restaurant in 2000. The menu includes American food with a comfort twist and changes seasonally to feature the local and organic produce. Also on the menu is a brilliant wine list, chosen to perfectly match the cuisine.

Charlotte Observer named Barrington’s 4 out of the 4 stars and ZAGAT’S named it Tops for Food in Charlotte: Top Restaurants in America Guide for 8 consecutive years.
