Thousands Line Up to Meet Celebrity Chef Bobby Flay

Celebrity Chef and owner of several iconic restaurants including Bobby’s Burger Palace, Bobby Flay Steak, Mesa Grill and Bar American, Bobby Flay has written another NY Times Best-selling book, Barbecue Addiction.  Flay, an Iron Chef along other iconic Celebrity chefs such as Mario Batali, Cat Cora, Masaharu Morimoto, Jose Garces, Michael Symon, Marc Forgione and the newly minted Alex Guarnaschelli has embarked on a national book tour.  The iconic chef was hired/booked to make multiple appearances across the US including one at Supermarket giant, Wegmans in Malvern, PA last week.

The sold event for Wegman’s Shopper Club members was a huge success.  Part of the excitement was that Club Shoppers received a 30% discount on Flay’s book when they bought it at the store.  Droves of fans waited for Flay with his boyish smile and culinary expertise to show up and share cooking tips and advice.  Although he didn’t do a cooking demonstration or motivational speech, it was an intimate setting where each fan felt like the celebrity chef they knew so well was there just for them.   Flay is a master at working a crowd and this event was no different.   When Bobby Flay is hired/booked for an event he has high expectations and seemingly never lets his fans down.  Whether it’s a corporate event, cooking demonstration, speaking engagement, endorsement, licensing opportunity or a sales meeting, when you hire/book Bobby Flay you can expect the best from this icon.

Iron Chef Alumni & Celebrity Chef Cat Cora Goes On Board with Holland Cruise Line

hire-cat-coraCora who previously was the “god mother” for Oceania’s Cruise’s latest vessel, has now in less than a year flipped to Holland Cruises to be the headliner and hired/booked for their Mediterranean voyage that is considered one of its higher end “up-sells” to a traditional cruise.  On the Holland Cruises 12 day journey, this themed culinary tour will last 12 nights with multiple themed meals that will kick off on July 2nd with its 2100+ passenger ship Niuew Amterdam which will have a presenting sponsor, Food & Wine magazine.

These types of Celebrity Chef exertions are not all together uncommon with Iron Chef and Food Network’s Chopped judge, Geoffrey Zakarian and Oprah’s former personal chef Art Smith two of many that have hosted themed Celebrity Chef cruises for various cruise line companies.   The demographic that Celebrity Chefs and cruise lines attract tends to be very similar, 25-55 year old suburbanites who want to cook and enjoy food.  Celebrity Chefs have become titans of business and celebrities without peers on TV channels such as Food Network, Bravo, PBS, Travel Channel, ABC and others.

Food Network is bring back Food Network Stars

next-food-network-starFor the Ninth season, the home of such iconic food shows as Chopped, Iron Chef America and Diners, Drive-ins and Dives will roll out the welcome carpet again for the 9th season of Food Network Stars.   Food Network has booked Celebrity Chef and TV stars Bobby Flay, Giada De Laurentiis and Alton Brown will lead the charge as hosts of the newest season’s fun and cooking adventures.    What could be more American than 12 no name chefs dying for the right to be titled a Celebrity Chef, get paid and have their own TV show on Food Network!   As Celebrity Chef and NY Times Best-selling Author, Alton Brown might say, “A Proverbial culinary Kardashian Event”.

June 2 is the season premiere on Food Network as the wanna-be Celebrity Chefs with the passion for food and the desire to be rich and famous with their own show on Food Network, converge on the City of Angels, Los Angeles California to battle for the rights to be named, The Next Food Network Star.  Scripps and Food Network executives Susie Fogelson and Bob Tuschman have gotten it right more than they have missed with new shows and talent.  There will never be another Emeril Lagasse or Mario Batali but Guy Fieri and Paula Deen are far from second rate.  The viewing public always loves a good cook-off with challenges, prizes and surprise Celebrity Chef guests to boot!  This season with provide viewers of the Food Network’s show wild twists and turns, fan interaction via “focus groups”, their version of Redemption Kitchen Island where one participant will get voted off and brought back with a new chance to win the coveted prize of being Food Network’s next star.

Celebrity chef to offer free cooking demonstrations

hire-dana-herbertCelebrity Chef Dana “Sugar Daddy” Herbert will present two free cooking demonstrations on Tuesday at the Imperial Centre.

The winner of Cake Boss’s Next Great Baker, Herbert will demonstrate how to make low-carb, full-flavor dishes. The first 300 people attending each show will be treated to a healthy snack box, and all attendees will receive a free cookbook.

While diabetics are intended to be the target audience of the demonstrations, the event is open to everyone. Diabetes experts also will be on hand to answer questions.

The cooking demonstrations are scheduled for 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. and no reservations are required.
