Daisy Martinez

Brooklyn native Daisy Martinez knows a thing or two about the flavorsome palates and succulent tastes of the Spanish speaking world; after all, she was born to two Puerto Rican parents and has extensive familial connections all over Spain, Central America, and South America. Before she was a celebrity chef, Daisy acted and modeled in commercials, feature films, and print ads for notable companies such as AT&T and Ford. Just a few years later Daisy crossed paths with Rachael Ray and her production company, and it was not long before Daisy’s new show, Viva Daisy! was launched on Food Network. The fun and lighthearted series played on Daisy’s affable personality and her love for life, her family, and food; her first show in Spanish, BORICUAS!, premiered on the Fox Mundo Network.

In addition to being a television personality and host, she has served as a contributor to widely read magazines Everyday with Rachael Ray, Siempre Mujer, Ser Padre, and Selecciones; she is also the author of two more award winning cookbooks, Daisy: Morning, Noon, and Night, and Daisy’s Holiday Cooking.

Perhaps the only thing closer to Daisy’s heart besides cooking is her family and heritage. One of Daisy’s greatest joys is being a mother to her four children and supporting the Latino community. Dana Herbert

Known by some as The Sugar Daddy, or the King of Cakes, celebrity chef Dana Herbert is an expert on every sweet and savory treat.  Chef Herbert began his studies at the University of Delaware where he majored in Hotel Restaurant and Institutional Management. Post graduation, he continued his studies at the esteemed Johnson and Wales University where he mastered his culinary skills and became an expert in the art of pastry making.  Chef Herbert then went on to work at the Four Seasons Boston, and as a pastry chef at the Philadelphia Downtown Marriott before opening up his own business in Delaware, Desserts by Dana.  The business became a huge success, featured on WEtv and many news outlets, but what made Chef Dana Herbert a dominating force in the culinary industry was his win on the first season of Cake Boss: Next Great Baker. Since winning the show, Chef Herbert has been invited to work in Hoboken with the renowned Cake Boss Buddy Valastro, and has also graced the cover of Essence, Fitness Magazine, Catering Magazine, the Huffington Post, and Chef Magazine, to name a few.  He has also been featured on popular foodie television programs Wedding Cake Wars and TLC’s Ultimate Cake Off for his baking expertise.

But let’s not forget that there’s more to celebrity chef Dana Herbert than cakes and desserts. Aside from being a pastry chef, Herbert is also an expert in the culinary field. His talents in the kitchen have caught the eyes of James Beard, and he has since been invited to be a part of the James Beard Celebrity Chef tour. Chef Herbert has even authored his own cookbook called the Sweet and Savory Union, a title that epitomizes his cooking style. In addition to the James Beard tour, Dana also tours the country with healthcare company Novo Nordisk, and works to educate people with Diabetes on how they can create culinary masterpieces that are delicious, yet still nutritious, and manageable for a sugar free diet. Chef Dana Herbert has also created the fundraiser Cake for the Cure, which built the world’s largest wedding cake to benefit the Susan G. Komen foundation. Nadia is no amateur to television; in 2011, she was featured on an episode of Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern. The following year, she competed with Michael Symon on Iron Chef America, going up against famed chefs Ted Allen, Masaharu Morimoto, and Robert Irvine in a special Holiday Gingerbread battle. Jeffrey Saad

Jeffrey Saad is the host of United Tastes of America on the Cooking Channel. While most people don’t consider flipping burgers to be their dream job, when Jeffrey did it for the first time at the age of thirteen, he knew he had found his true calling—in his own words, “I flipped my first burger and in that moment,  I knew that food was going to be my life.”

Celebrity Chef Speaker Jeffrey Saad got his culinary education at Iowa State, the Culinary Institute of America, and the California Culinary Academy before embarking on his own. He started his first restaurant in California called Sweet Heat, and the combination of healthy and fresh Mexican fare was a huge success. The rest is history for Jeffrey, who went on to open two more restaurants and become partner of the widely popular chain Pasta Pomodoro Italian Restaurants. In 2009, the celebrity chef competed on The Next Food Network Star, finishing as the season five runner up to Melissa d’Arabian but still impressing judge Bobby Flay; he was later featured on Grill It! with Bobby Flay. More importantly, Jeffrey caught the attention of audiences and foodies everywhere, which led to appearances on The Rachael Ray Show, ABC World News Now, Iron Chef America, and eventually his Cooking Channel show United Tastes of America. Putting new twists on old American trademarks and favorites like the burger, meatballs, and, Jeffrey’s personal favorite, pizza, has added to his popularity.

Jeffrey also enjoys using fresh foods and seasoning his dishes exotic spices; at one point he hosted Spice Smugglers, an online web series on Food Network, and owns his own collection of spice blends. In 2012, his first cookbook, called Jeffrey Saad’s Global Kitchen: Recipes Without Borders, was published. That same year he competed in Chopped All-Stars, finishing second to celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson, no small feat for any chef. Jeffrey currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife and children.
